Kevin is from Edmonton, Alberta and played for the Edmonton Cardinals growing up. He represented the Cardinals three times at the National Championships after being a Provincial Champion in his youth career: in 2009 as a Midget, 2008 in Bantam, and 2006 in Pee Wee. He went on to play at Garden City Community College after high school. After two years playing for the Broncbusters, Kevin transferred to Fort Hays State University (NCAADII). In his senior season, he hit .415 with 12 home runs and was named as an All-American, as well as the All Canadian Team 2 by the Canadian Baseball Network.
In 2015, Kevin graduated from Fort Hays in the field of Exercise Science and served as an intern with the Fort Hays Strength and Conditioning staff. He worked for the Prospects Baseball Academy as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2016-2017.
2018 will be Kevin's second full-time season as the Assistant Coach under Taylor Burns for the Midget AAA Cardinals. He was a part-time assistant in 2016 and was instrumental in helping the powerhouse offense that would help the Cardinals win a Provincial Championship.
